Introduction
In teaching as we know now these days it is essential for the learner to have an active participation so that he can be able to complete the process of acquiring new information and process it in his/her daily life. Education is very fundamental in a human’s beign development,   as better education every single one of us gets better society we will have. Therefore is very important that we pay attention to the education the young learners are getting, so that when students get become teenagers they will already have advanced knowledge. As we may know been a teenager can be a real hard stage of our life because we are going through different changes not only physical but emotional, this changes may confuse the teenager, make him lower his self-esteem, not be confident enough to express what he feels, and for these reasons he won’t be able to learn in a very appropriated way. Sometimes the students will show lack of interest in some classes and the reason of that is because they don’t have motivation, their parents don’t pay much attention to them, or sometimes the classroom atmosphere is not the appropriated for them and they feel unconfident.
The purpose of this piece of writing is to present the story of Alberto, a teenager who had a problem when trying to learn a second language, English in this case. I will give a possible solution according to what we saw in the different topics during the semester.

Background
Alberto was a teenager (17 years old) when he just arrived to the United States. He grew up in Mexico, he was a very friendly guy, teachers would never complained about him,  we could describe him as a well behaved student whit a positive attitude towards learning, but sometimes he would be very shy. He didn’t have trouble at all in school, he was great in all his classes except for one, and he wasn’t very good in his English class. When his parents and he moved to the United States he got sign into high school. By that time is when he noticed that he would have serious problems because of the language. At first he couldn’t understand anything that his teachers and school partners told him, he went to English courses but he just couldn’t learn the language. His teacher was mean to him, and also some of his mates, he was losing his self esteem, he didn’t want to learn anything anymore, he had try different things and he just couldn’t learn. The last thing he did was going to see a psychologist even that he didn’t want to but his friends had insisted so much that he accepted to go and see the psychologist. What the psychologist told him was that he had had terrible experiences back in Mexico when he was learning the language, like he wasn’t very good his partners laughed at him and he had an inpatient teacher that didn’t help him much.

Justification of subjects in our role play
Focusing on second language acquisition we could use different learning styles, ask Alberto how does he feel more comfortable using the language, for example  if Alberto prefers listening conversations we could have him listen to some conversations then have him participate in role plays where he can use the new vocabulary learned in classes. As we saw in second language acquisition there are different learning styles that each student prefers to learn in a better way.
In our role play we included things that we saw during the semester in our different subjects we even had to modify our script to include more things.
These are some examples of how we included our subjects in our script:
For teenagers development we decided to choose a play where the main characters were teenagers because that way we would catch their attention easily and we included problems that they have right now (bullying)  and by that way we hope to get their attention because is a problem that has been going on since long time ago.
We used a crazy man from the street because that’s supposed to be the funny part of the story. We also thought in wearing different clothes for every character because that would be like different “urban tribes” but at the end we decided to wear a school uniform because that way it would be easier for the audience to identify us. We also mention how Alberto gets sad and confused and that’s when the psychologist tells him that’s part of the developing and that there are stages he will have to go through. We used a puppet that looked like our main character and he would be like his self-esteem that told him that he would fail in his try to learn English.
For “Paradigmas y Enfoques de la Educación” we see that the teacher only uses one teaching methodology and that one is the traditional way, he was a real mean teacher to Alberto, he was inpatient and he would only talk without listening to the students. So they gave a video proof to the school’s principal and that’s when the principal tells the teacher that there are different ways of teaching and that he would be moved from his classes until he got updated to new teaching methodology.
In our class “Didacticas” we saw like the different teaching approaches, we decided to do it teacher centered because it was easier to have the teacher talking in front of the class and just asking Alberto, and because Alberto wasn’t a very good English speaker he would only say yes or no and the teacher made the rest of the work.
Our class “Artistica” was very useful in our play because thanks to what we learn during the semester we made puppets that we used during the play, we also made other materials like charts, paint board, and we also drew a street and a hallway.

Conclusion
In this final project we had a hard time at first because some of us were not been responsible and like it was a team work it affected the rest of the team, fortunately we worked it out perfectly like a team and then we started working like the team we are. That’s why final projects are very important because they teach to work in teams, this will be very useful for us as future teachers because we will have the ability of working in big projects with other teachers.
The role play thought me that we have to talk more to the students because sometimes they might have other problems and when we give them instructions they can be confused, so I think that it will be essential that we don’t just focus in one teaching approach.
Acting was useful because in a future we will have to be in front of massive groups so if we start now it will be easier for us when we start teaching.

INTRO
The education now in these days requires of methods of teaching which can involve the learner and develop their skills making use of the technology. The learner, has to be active in the classes, this is one of the basic principles that help learners to be better in their studies.
Into the different stages of the learner, there is one that could be the most important on their development: the adolescence.
We know that in this stage, it’s harder to keep the attention and the interest of the learners in the studies, because is when they start to search or experiment who they want to be in that moment of their lives (imitate artists, be a part of a social group, etc.) is in this stage when starts the physical, psychological, hormonal and emotional changes in the adolescent.
In the last years, the “bullying” has been a topic about the people has started to talk, this “bullying” has a negative effect in the young learners. In the stage of adolescence is when this is more notable, because is when starts the physical, psychological, and emotional changes, and if a young learner receives bullying at this age, he can low his self-esteem, he can feel insecure in the school, and he can change his feeding.
This play called “Alberto vs. the world“, we are going to talk about a young Mexican student which had problems in his school in Mexico. There is a part of the topic of “bullying” in this play related with English subject.

BACKGROUND
Alberto was a happy, shy, but secure of himself Mexican young student, when he was studying in Mexico, he was a smart and simple guy, and once his classmates began to doing bullying to him. This was going been more and more frequently until a point in which Alberto had lost his self-esteem, he was not the same in the school, and his parents didn´t know about that, because they spent the major part of the time working.
When Alberto got into the secondary school, he was with the thought that everything was going to change, but it was not that, he still showing insecure in classes and his new classmates began to bully him, especially on English class. Alberto had already had some knowledge of English language, but he was not good enough, and with the bullying of his classmates, his pronunciation was not very good.
Alberto and his family moved to the USA, and that was not a good new for him, because he was going with the same preoccupation of the bullying from the people, and all because he was not good in English.
On his first day of school, Alberto was very shy, because his teacher of English was not very nice with him, the teacher started to be bad with Alberto in all the classes, he was using the traditionalist method to teach the language, so Alberto couldn’t learn well, and the mood  of the teacher was not helping to Alberto’s develop.
The new friends of Alberto, Isabel and Robert decided to help him with his problem in the school. Alberto went to the psychologist of the school and the Doctor discovered what the problem was, so the doctor talked to the Principal and the Principal talked to the teacher and he was suspended until he changes his methods of teaching.

CONCLUSION
I think that the teachers nowadays should be more actualized according to the methods of teaching that the new generations of learners requires. The technology is a very helpful tool in the classes, and the learners they like to use the computers and that is at the level of competences they have. They can show their abilities on the new technology.

Second Language Acquisition
I think that we as teachers, we have to take notes about how the learners acquire the knowledge, because as we know, the learners has different intelligences, we can’t teach them with the same order, we have to search for more and actualized methods that are very helpful in the knowledge. Also if we motivate them, we can obtain a positive reaction in the classes by them. I think that we have to be very careful in this stage (adolescence), because how I mentioned in this stage is when they starts to experiment or looking who they want to be.
Paradigms
As we saw in class, we have to be more actualized in the use of technology, because we just can’t use the traditionalist method, we have to know that there are new methods that we can apply, also not only one; we can mix some different methods to have a good class and keep the attention of the learners, and develop their skills.

Didactics
The teacher is focused more in the Teacher Centered, in this case, it has to be a medium level of each one (student, teacher) because, we can not only focus on one side, we have to have a level.
Also the teacher using the traditionalist method he can make a plan more specific to teach the topic of the day, because he just wants to teach something random.
Artistic
The teacher has some bad points in their job, because also if he use the traditionalist method, and he doesn’t have the technology, he can make his own material for the class, he can use flashcards or some other material that can keep the attention of the learners, also he can use material that they can use with their hands, this is the Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence (Second Language Acquisition).

Introduction
Since education appeared, this has suffered many changes, therefore as future teachers have to be prepared and in a day as is the education of our times.
At this time is essential for the student to have an active participation and a great motivation in this way may have acquisition of new information day to day in life.
How do we know we are making progress in stages and while we are overcoming them we acquire new knowledge , but perhaps the most difficult for all stage is the " adolescence " , because there are many both emotional changes as physical and feel that no one understands , imitate celebrities, they feel excluded, that they do not listen , etc. .
But then what should a teacher do? The teacher must be aware of the ways to learn the student and not just close to a method of teaching and if in adolescence have patience for the changes that is happening. But what if the teacher was not aware of this and the child / teen had problems like bullying and tell him and was ignored or that their teacher is a person old-fashioned? We will see below.

Background
Alberto is 19 years old is a boy who lived in Mexico where he was very happy, had many friends a serious and committed person but at the same time was shy and this sometimes will caused some problems, their teachers treated him well and each of them had different methods of education that helped him learn better Alberto, but one subject had trouble a lot and was English class but did not know why.
Their parents and had to go to the United States, where all change as they were for new teachers and new classmates and the worst for is that everything was in English and his teacher was mean and did not help much because it was a traditionalist teacher and the only mattered to her class. Alberto was English courses to see if he could improve his English but did not have any result and so was trying different methods to learn English but each could not learn. His friends helped him and made him see that maybe the problem was in his head and took him to a psychologist. The psychologist hypnotizes Alberto and can see that when he was in Mexico He suffered from bullying by their classmates in English class and this had made it to crash and do not want to learn.
Psychologist Talk to the principal and come to the conclusion that the best option is to remove the teacher with Alberto is going because it is a very traditional teacher and does not want to change their teaching methods.
At the end Alberto learn achieved with their new English teacher, and after a while ends his career and graduated as a teacher in teaching English.

Conclusion
I think when Alberto was in Mexico most of his teachers worried about how he learned, by which intelligence (of the eight we have) had more developed and if he had problem with his class but one English teacher that maybe if s worried about his form teaching but not worried as the student was receiving the information and less if they acquired.
As the teacher is not worried Bullying Alberto suffered much and this was blocking and he could not learn English and caused him so many problems

Justification of subjects

SLA
The learners have different ways to acquire a second language because they have different intelligences and we as a teachers have to develop the ability to recognize what could be the better the best option to teach them, because if we have a wrong option the learner maybe not going to learn, also we have to motivated to continue learner and give them advices and feedback.
Didactics
In our play the teacher use teacher centered and he had made plan before the class, but we as a teachers have to have a balance between student centered and teacher centered also like the teacher we always have to do a plan before every class.
Paradigmas y enfoques educativos
In the play the professor just use a traditional method and that´s not ok, we have to use the three methods to have a good class, behaviorism, cognitivism and constructivism.

Searching for learning (En búsqueda del aprendizaje)
Introduction
Nowadays teaching is a process that requires the active participation of the student as a key element to make such appropriate process. Education is a vital process for all human beings development. Therefore, it is ideal to take place at an early stage of life, so that when you reach the adolescent stage, acquired bases can be stronger. As we know, in the adolescent stage we can distinguish changes not only physical but also psychological and emotional issues that have a significant impact on self-esteem and personal safety.
However, several factors may be involved in the teaching of a teenage student. These factors can be divided into two types: personal and environmental limitations. Among the first ones, we can find psychological, emotional traumas and physical limitations; within seconds are the lack of motivation from family, friends and specially teachers in schools.
Here we have the case of a teenager who had troubles acquiring a second language, in this case English language. The justification will be based on the theories and concepts learned during the semester and a possible solution to this case will be suggested.
Development: Background
Alberto was a 17 year old that from his childhood he had lived with his parents in Mexico. He was always shy but intelligent, simple and friendly at school. Alberto had no learning difficulties, except for English class because he was a victim of bullying of his classmates that affected their safety and generated him fear to express himself. From the other hand his parents did not provide the necessary care and in school never was implemented an appropriate model to teach the English Language, by the teacher neither the material resources used. For work issues, Alberto and his parents moved to the United States, therefore, Alberto had to enter to a school. This meant a radical change for him, due to being in a country where they speak English, Alberto could not develop properly. In addition to his background of low self-esteem, his new teacher , Professor Perales didn’t know identify his best way of learning, because his teaching model was based on the traditional school , plus their new classmates also made him bullying. Therefore, Alberto on their own looked for a solution that would improve their ability to learn English. He attended an English course but this didn’t result because the teacher who taught was the same teacher turned in his regular classes. He decided to go to the psychologist, Doctor Lewandoski who could give a diagnosis of why he could not learn. Taking cognizance of this, the psychologist spoke with Alberto’s School Principal to give a solution to his problem.

Problematic situation
As we know one of the main features is that the student must be motivated in different ways, some of them are the teacher and the atmosphere within the class. For Alberto, his teacher was not sensitive to his situation and did not show respect to him. From the other hand, the atmosphere in the classroom was not safe or pleasant due to bullying Alberto suffered from his classmates. These and other elements like: clear instructions in tasks, individualism and personal relevance of the information are very important in the Second Language Acquisition.
As we know, Krashen developed five theories. One of them is called “The affective filter”. This consist that there are 3 important factors in Language Acquisition: motivation, self-esteem and anxiety. Alberto didn’t have motivation or self-esteem and had high levels of anxiety; this created a block that cut off the learning process.
In the play, Professor Perales is represented by a model of traditional school teaching that can be seen in classes taught both in school and in the Alberto’s English course. The traditional school is characterized by the teacher that is the only authority, this limits the active participation by the student, there is no reasoning and activities are based only on memorizations, repetitions and there isn’t feedback from the teacher Perales. This was not the most appropriate method so Alberto could learn. Nowadays exist new methods that are more related with the mental processes and not just with memorizing or repeating information, for example Constructivism; in this method the student can create his/her own knowledge. Professor Perales could have used this method, maybe with more dynamic activities, where the students can find their own meaning to what they are learning.
Professor Perales represents a model centered in the teacher; he only used to base his classes in discipline, excluding every type of interaction among the classmates. At the end of the play it is shown that the Principal of the school suggests professor Perales to change his teaching method for another based on student centered. This method consists in the teacher as the facilitator between the resources and the student; the students are the central part of the activities carried out between the class, resulting the interaction among students.
Four puppets were used as didactic resources for the play: one of them symbolizes Alberto´s conscience; the other three represent his classmates laughing about him during a vision while he is being hypnotized by his psychologist. The purpose of these resources is that the audience can easily identify each one of the issues represented.
Solution
In this case, it is defined that Alberto´s problem is based on his psychological trauma, besides the lack of attention from his parents, as well as the teacher´s deficiencies to teach him according to his way of learning. Therefore one solution is that Alberto continues receiving psychological attention, involving his parents in this process. Another important part of the solution is to capacitate the teacher in continuous training to show him modern school, to acquire knowledge about the tendencies used to improve his classes and to learn how to identify the needs of each student. Also, the school must apply English Level exams, to know the level of each student.
As we know, nowadays new teaching models most likely to succeed are based on the active participation of the student. This means that students have to interact more with each other, through expositions, teamwork, plays, among others. If a student shows difficulties working in teams or joining any type of this participation, a good teacher should be able to identify and implement ways to join this type of work.
Conclusion
Cases like the one just developed, may actually arise in reality. That’s why is important that in schools teachers give attention to the needs of their students so that they can implement appropriate teaching methods in both the English language and in any other subject.
Also, it is essential to consider other aspects of the student like the family environment in which the student develops.
I believe that this play had fun elements of exaggeration, even outside of reality such as the appearance of characters like the witch Fulgencio who helps Alberto and exaggeration of Professor’s manner with Alberto, also the measures taken from the Principal to professor Perales.
I think nowadays, there are many English teachers but unfortunately only a small percentage is actually prepared to teach this class. The English language should not be seen only as a hobby, it must be given the importance it deserves especially today where there is a high demand for this language. Today education is closely related to psychology in the teaching process, this mean that it has to be certain changes so that the learning process should not involve just the transmission of knowledge but this knowledge must have a relevance to each student to that learning is acquired more than just memorized.

Final Project
Jesus Montenegro
In our final project, and drafted in a play and staged, we decided to choose based story of a young man who migrates from Mexico to the United States, bringing the dream to perform as every human being, to go to school, high school and finish college, but the young man does not have the difficulty of managing a different language to that already speaks.
Has to face the difficult task of overcoming fear and acquire this language, so he decides to confront this challenge entering college so you can make one of his greatest dreams, achieving learning this language.
The young man named Albert, in his course of school, major obstacles, one of them is the bullying of one of his teachers at him, this happens because they cannot speak the language that is handled in this country, and therefore his classmates bullying also make you unable to speak with this language Alberto .
In one of his classes and courses in English, American professor makes it feel and look bad in front of their peers, which cannot afford and need to take great measures to avoid such situations, because in our country we have cases
similar, and we as teachers and students do nothing to stop these abuses.
Alberto desperate not knowing what to do with such derision that made him, goes to all kinds of help, a witch and a psychologist, they try to help the best way for him to feel confident and able to overcome the fear that make you feel their peers and teacher.
This is a great example of how young people take bad roads and know people who guide by involving them in social settings wrong drug and alcohol looking vent that feeling that overwhelms, and therefore take repressive behaviors and to act with hatred and resentment outputs towards people who make them feel bad.
Bullying is one of the most serious problems in our social environment, being a major factor for our children, siblings and acquaintances have that fear and insecurity of being mocked by all, whether classmates or friends and likewise that the leads to a fear of catching to get ahead, thinking that whatever you do is wrong or is going to make fun of him.
In my opinion and contribution to this kind of situation as a teacher, I think it is very important to handle all types of students, motivating and promoting respect between them, showing them to respect your partner or teacher is respect
yourself, and so same, you learn and you learn everyone, not just at school, also at home or in society, is to have a safe and respectful environment to you and to others.

Final Project
PLAY OF THE PROBLEMATIC OF AN ACADEMIC SITUATION IN ENGLISH TEACHING IN TEENAGERS

ESSAY

Name of student: Nelson Perez Nevarez
Teacher:

Place and due date of Final Project: Wednesday December 4 of 2013
Location: Central Library of UJED

ESSAY
Education is the act or processing of imparting or acquiring general knowledge, developing the powers of reasoning and judgment and generally, of preparing oneself or others intellectually for mature life. We as future teachers have to adapt to the new generations and find the way to get them to learn and acquire this knowledge by developing methods and dynamic class plans like we’ve seen on the semester and learned of the different theoretical information we’ve seen along the semester. This final project is based on a play that shows the problem of an academic situation in English teaching to teenagers and shows that way to solve this kind of problems that are common to happen.
The play is about a young man, teenager with the name of Alberto, he is from Mexico and his parents have decided to move to U.S.A, and start high school there, he doesn’t speak English very well, why… because when he was in his English classes in Mexico his classmate made fun of him and was bullied by them. He is a very timid and unsecured person.
On his first day of classes he had a really bad day; thanks to his professor Perales who is a very strict teacher and is not very patient with Albert’s difficult of English. Alberto make two friends Robert and Isabel and the are willing to help him, Alberto tries an English course at school but the teacher for this course is Mr. Perales and humiliates him in class and treats him like if he was an idiot and has no patience or tries to find a way to help him with his English. Alberto tries several stuff like a wizard but gives up and finally decides to go the psychologist Lewandowski where he is hypnotized and able to express that his problem is that he was bullied, the psychologist talks to the principal of the school and explains the problem to him. The principal also receives a video of what happens in the English course with Alberto and the teacher so he decides to talk to Mr. Perales and remove him till he changes his behavior and attitude.
At the end Alberto defeats his traumas’ and is able to concord with his other teachers and in the future he becomes a successful bachelor in English teaching.
Adolescent Development
We chose this topic, of bullying because is what really happens between teenagers and most of them don’t say anything. So we want them to get identified with what they see on their daily lives and be able to break with the bullying and have conscious of how bullying can effect on someone’s life or even theirs.
To maintain their attention we decided to put a funny wizard that does a ritual, dances and magical stuff to help Alberto with his problem but who is an ordinary salesman, we put this for them to not get bored and also laugh with a little comedy.
CALL1
For CALL1 we made a Blog where you can find everything about the Final Project such as production, script, scenery, conclusion, experience and essay of each of the team’s participants of the play. This blog show all the process of this Final Project and information.
SLA
In the play we elaborated we show how Mr. Perales has a teaching method were he shows no motivation to the students to learn and this causes that the students don’t find his class interesting in any way. Another thing is that we can see how Perales uses cognitivism in his class by showing them colors with flashcards and then writing on the board and telling them to write on their note book, but doesn’t adapt with the students maturity of adolescent to make his class more dynamic and interesting for the age of the students. In this play we were against the CPH because Alberto was able to master Second Language Learning after puberty and became a successful bachelor in SLT.
Didactica de Lenguas Extranjeras 1
In the play we can see how Mr. Perales is not very dynamic in his class and is based in the traditional teaching which is teacher center and is just focused on teaching on his own way and doesn’t care to take some ideas from student centered such as what teenagers like to learn and the types of common learning styles they prefer. Also the teacher wants Alberto to have accuracy in English which he doesn’t neither fluency because Alberto isn’t able to talk in a fluent way he has difficult in talking.
Paradigmas y Enfoques Educativos
In the play we can see how Albert’s course class is about flashcards where the teacher shows them to the students and they define what color they see on the flashcards such as me and my team did with the micro teaching we made with our classmates this is a conductismo because Mr. Perales was guiding the students with the flashcards and they were building their own knowledge by their experience and already known knowledge by answering the color they were seeing and this is the same type of class we based our micro teaching.
Artistic Education
As we saw on the play on two different scenes where the puppets we develop came out acting as Albertos conscious when he sees Mr. Perales the puppet appears with a bulling personality with Alberto this to make a little more fun for the audience and show how useful these kind of materials like the puppets can help with the students. The other scene is where 3 puppets appear one is Alberto and the other two are the kids bullying on him. This kind of material are very easy to make and very cheap price and the most important thing very helpful with kids to make learning more fun and interesting.
At the end everything came out well for Alberto and gained as an experience what he lived. This is my essay and my Final Project, thank you all teachers.
